Info

SilvanOesterle.net is a continuous collection of my research and teaching at the ETH Zurich, which explores the intersection of design engineering and computation. The projects are based on the idea that architectural construction should both embrace new modes of fabrication and leverage the constructive potential of the cultural knowledge in traditional craftsmanship. Thus it investigates methodologies for the integration of traditional material techniques and algorithmic design approaches through the application of advanced digital fabrication processes.
